Can babies be photographed with their cord still attached?

The best age for Newborn Photography is 10 days or younger, so it is certainly possible that the umbilical cord may still be attached. This is not a problem at all! If anything, it serves to highlight just how new the baby is, and captures such a specific moment in time. We may pose the baby in a certain way to obscure the clamp so it is not in every image. In some artwork we may be able to work our magic editing the clamp out if Mum & Dad feel strongly about it, but generally we leave them in the images.
